Since they opened in 1971, Eisenhower has been growing steadily, adding services, capabilities and facilities to meet the needs of the expanding area.
The Eisenhower real estate team required an efficient solution to speed up the redevelopment of newly purchased off the main campus sites as well as existing sites. Check-up patients would be redirected to more accessible off-site retail locations, which would free up the main campus hospital for emergencies and specialized surgeries.
The SCGWest team was tasked with city zoning, architectural and engineering, permitting, construction and interior finish out and certificate of occupancy for the redevelopments. SCGWest’s engineers and planners obtained approval for the off-site premises, which required a different categorization. Construction was carefully planned and scheduled to avoid disturbing other nearby medical facilities.
SCGWest prioritized the main objective of speed by working with engineers, designers and crews day and night to quickly deliver multiple facilities. This allowed the owners to focus on other tasks including the acquisition of future sites. The Eisenhower Medical Center realized increased time efficiencies of nearly 16% in comparison to past projects.
